The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of obstructing a link road.
Investigating officer (IO) Jagdev Singh said that the accused had been identified as Manwindar alias Manga a resident of Kassu Pur village.
Baljit Kaur wife of Sarabjit Singh a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused had spread rubbish on the road and her husband’s motorcycle slipped and fell on the ground causing serious injuries.
IO said a case under section 285(danger or obstruction in a public way or line of navigation )125-A and 125-B (causing grievous hurt) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
