Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Tuesday paid obeisance at Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Temple during the ongoing Sodal Mela. Addressing the gathering, the Minister acknowledged the deep devotion of millions of devotees who visit the temple every year during the mela. He expressed that Baba Sodal is believed to fulfil the wishes of thousands by showering his blessings upon them.
Highlighting the global significance of the mela, Balkar Singh mentioned that devotees from across the world visit the temple annually to seek Baba Sodal’s blessings. He highlighted that the Punjab government has made elaborate arrangements at the temple to ensure a smooth experience for the devotees. These arrangements include enhanced security, health team deployments, drinking water facilities, and mobile toilets.
Chief editor of Hind Samachar Group Vijay Chopra, Cabinet Minister, and MLA Mohinder Bhagat also launched the State level inaugural ceremony of SWACHHTA HI SEWA between September 17 and October 2 under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
