The Shahkot police have booked six persons on the charges of kidnapping and assaulting a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused has been identified as Rakesh a resident of Raje Wal village, Kaka of Aali Wal village in Ludhiana, and Ajay, Bitta, Viki, and Shaiba all residents of Bakar Dian Chhana village under Mehat Pur police station.

that the accused assaulted kidnapped secretly confined him on September 1.
IO said a case under 140(3) (kidnapping with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person) 127(1)(wrongful confinement ) 115(2),117(2) 118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means ) 190(committing a crime with common intention,191(rioting ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
