The Nakodar City police have booked six persons on the charge of assaulting a Nakodar resident.
Investigating officer (IO) Rajindar Pal Singh said the accused has been identified as Rimppi and Kali residents of Mohalla Rehman Pura Nakodar and their four unidentified accomplices.
Raman a resident of Baji Gar Basti complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on August 26 attacked and seriously injured him, again attacked him on his way to the hospital, and snatched his gold chain.
IO said a case under sections 115(2),118(1) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt),191(3) (rioting )190(committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
