The Criminal Investigating Agency (CIA) of the Jalandhar(rural) police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
Investigating officer (IO) Nirmal Singh said that 100 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Harsukh Preet Singh alias Sakha son of Gurmit Singh a resident of Umre Wal village.
O said a case under sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Mehat Pur police station and impounded a motorcycle on which the accused was traveling with the contraband.
The Shahkot police arrested drug peddler Ravindarjit Singh alias Bukann son of Harjindar Singh a resident of Bajwa Kalan village with 250 grams of opium said investigating officer Gurnam Singh.
