The Shahkot police have booked three miscreants on the charge of snatching cash and a mobile phone from a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Pappa son of Jagtar Singh a resident of Hari Pur village under Mehat Pur police station and his two unidentified accomplices.
Arash Dep alias Arash a resident of Kotli Gajran village complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on August 28 and snatched Rs 2000, his smartphone, and the key to his motorcycle.
IO said a case under section 304(snatching)and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
