NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have booked five persons on the charges of assaulting a Nakodar resident.
The investigating officer (IO) Manjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kailash Chandar Pathak a resident of Partap Chowk Ludhiana, his son Mohit Pahak, and their three unidentified accomplices.
Karanbir Sharma a resident of Mohalla Purewal colony Railway Road Nakodar complained to the police that he was returning home from Ludhiana on August 23 evening when the accused riding a car waylaid him near a warehouse on Nurmahal Road, Nakodar in which his father-in-law and brother-in-law were sitting and three unidentified accused attacked l and seriously injured him. He said his father-in-law and brother-in-law planned this attack.
IO said a case under sections 115, (2) 118(1) 118(2) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 191(3) (rioting being armed with deadly weapons ) 190 (every member of unlawful assembly ) of the B.N.S . has been registered against the accused.
