NAKODAR

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked eight persons on the charge of murdering a youth.

Station House Officer (SHO) Baljindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurdit Singh alias Guri son of Nirmal Singh a resident of Mothan Wal village under Sultan Pur Lodhi police station Kapurthala, Jatindar Singh alias Kohli son of   Sham Lal a resident of Kahlwan village under Kapurthal Sadar police station, Tirath Singh son of Major Singh a resident of Kala Sanghian village under Kapurthala Sadar police station, Sukhwindar Singh alias Kamando son of Paramjit Singh a resident of Rasul Pur village, Gurpreet Singh alias Dhatt resident of   Aali Chak village under Lambarra police station, Gurpal Singh alias Gopa son of  Manjit Singh a resident of Shidhma Dona village under Kapurthala Sadar police station and Najeer Gujjar son of Mureed a resident of Kotla village Kala Sangha Road under Lambarra police station.

SHO said that the accused attacked and shot dead Kulwinder Singh alias Kindi (30) a resident of Kala Sangha village near Uggi village.

Charan Dass a resident of Kala Sangha village and the father of the deceased complained to the police that his son Kindi was standing near Uggi village with his friend Laddu and two others the accused reached there and attacked Kindi with sharp-edged weapons and he tried to save himself by running from the spot when one accused Sukhwindar Singh Kamando fired from his pistol at Kindi which pierced his legs and he died on the spot.

He said the accused had threatened his son to kill him who had come from Bangalore to attend a court case against him.

 

SHO said a case under sections 103(murder), 191(3) (committing an offense with common intention), and 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
