The Nakodar Sadar police have booked eight persons including assaulting 60 years old woman Investigating officer (IO) Harjit Singh said the accused had been identified as Jindar Singh a resident of Chak Vendal village, his wife Jaspreet Kaur, Harnek Singh, his wife Kulwinder Kaur, Balvir Kaur wife of Gurdial Singh, Kulwinder Kaur wife of Balwinder Singh, Malkit Singh and Sukhjinder Singh all resident of the same village.
Sukhwinder Kaur (60) wife of Nirmal Singh a resident of Chak Vendal village complained to the police that the accused barged into her large walled house(haveli) and attacked and injured her.
IO said a case under sections 115(2) and 117(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt 191(3)(unlaw full assembly )190(rioting ) and 324(4)(mischief ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused adding that a cross-case has been registered.
