In a show of preparedness for Independence Day celebrations, the Jalandhar Rural Police conducted a district-wide flag march on Tuesday. Led by DIG Jalandhar Range Naveen Singla and SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, the exercise covered key locations and sensitive areas across the district.
Sub-Divisional Police Officers supervised operations in their respective areas, accompanied by DSPs, SHOs, and a substantial police contingent. The march aimed to instill public confidence and deter potential threats.
DIG Singla reiterated the department's commitment to public safety, stating, "Our flag march today is a clear message that we are vigilant and ready to tackle any situation."
SSP Khakh emphasized the importance of such exercises in maintaining law and order during national events. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the 112 helpline.
The police interacted with community members during the march, strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the public. Officials assured that all necessary security measures are in place for a safe Independence Day celebration.
