The city police Kotkapura has registered a case under section 406 of IPC against one Prem Chand son of Lachman Das, a resident of Green enclave Kotkapura.
The case has been registered on the complaint of Kulbhushan Sharma son of Shankar Das, a resident of Bansal Street Kotkapura.
The complainant has stated to the police that his father has a partnership with the accused in the work of transportation and apart from it, he also had some share in a rice mill near village Devi wala.
He further alleged that his father began to remain ill and all the business was being looked after by Prem Chand.
"The accused kept the earning with himself and started embazelling half share of his father's income.when in september 2021, my father asked Prem Chand to separate his share and pay back it to him, he did not come to the point and tried to delay it on one or other pretext. This way, he kept his share of income of Rs 70 lakh and 25 lakh of his share in a rice mill, which was allegedly embezzled by him by making a breach of trust," alleged Kulhushan Sharma in his police complaint.
The police have booked Prem Chand under section 406(Whoever commits criminal breach of trust shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both of IPC )at city police station Faridkot.
An FIR no 163 has been registered in the case.
