NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked eight persons on the charge of assaulting a villager.
Investigating officer (IO) Jiwan Singh said that the accused have been identified as Satnam Singh Gurpreet Singh, Amandeep, and Harpreet Singh residents of Sahem village, and their four unidentified accomplices.
Harpreet a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him with weapons and seriously injured him.
IO said a case under section 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt).118(2), (voluntary causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means),191(3) (rioting being armed with deadly weapons ), and 190 (every member of unlawful assembly ) of the B.N.S has been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police also booked nine persons including two women of Bute Dian Chhana village for assaulting Jaspal Singh of Bhode village under Bilga police station said IO Jaswinder Singh
