Vendor arrested for rash driving.

 

SHAHKOT

The Shahkot police have arrested a vendor on charges of causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others, rash driving on the public road, and mischief.

Investigating officer (IO) Parwinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Amanpreet Singh son of Gurdev Singh a resident of Kotla Suraj Mall.

Jang Sher Singh a resident of Dhando Wal village had complained to the police that the accused was driving his Jugarru Vend very fast and negligently and hit him in his village on March 25 late evening and seriously injured him.

 

IO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public roads) 337 and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427 (mischief) the IPC was registered against the accused, and section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) has been added in the FIR.
