Twenty-two booked for assaulting villager

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar Sadar t police have booked twenty-two persons on the charge of assaulting a villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Amrik Singh said that the accused have been identified as Palwinder Singh alias Pinda and Manraj Singh alias Mannu residents of Khan Pur Dhadda village and their twenty unidentified accomplices.

Sagar a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with weapons and seriously injured and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said a case under section 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt).118(2), (voluntary causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) 351(2)(criminal intimidation ),191(3) (rioting being armed with deadly weapons y ) and 190 (every member of unlawful assembly ) of the B.N.S .has been registered against the accused.

 

The police also booked Pirsh Preet Singh a resident of Chuharr village for assaulting Sourav Gautam of the same village and damaging his car said IO Rajinder Kumar.
