The Mehat Pur police have booked four persons including a woman on the charges of theft, criminal trespass, and rioting.
Investigating officer (IO) Harwinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar alias Nikoo a resident of Mohalla Vada Mehat Pur, his wife Anu, Menu, and Jinder Alias Jinda residents of the same locality.
Pawan Kumar a resident of Sango Wal village complained to the police that the accused encroached on his house in Vada Mohalla and stole all materials lying there.
IO said a case under sections 303(2) (theft) 329(3) (criminal trespass ) 191(3)(rioting -being armed with deadly weapons )and 190( every member of unlawful assembly )of the B.N.S .has been registered against the accused adding that no arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
