NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have arrested four migrant women on the charges of stealing items from devotees in religious places.

Investigating officer (IO) Amrik Lal said that the accused have been identified as Vinod wife of Sukhdev Singh, Lakshmi wife of Maharaj Singh Sunita wife of Deepak and Baby wife of Takkla all residents of Bharat Pur district Rajasthan and presently living near the railway line. Sandesh Kumar a resident of Rattan Nagar Patiala complained to the police he came to Divaya Jayoti Jagriti Sansthan with his family on July 21 to pay his obeisance to Guru Purnima.

He said in his complaint that on returning when he checked his pocket found his phone missing which was stolen by someone.

Sudesh said a gang of women thieves was active inside and stole his phone and other devotees' phones, purses, and ornaments.

 

IO said a case under sections 303(2) (theft) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and recovered stolen gold and silver chins and a smart phone from thier possession.
