The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charges of kidnapping a minor and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating officer (IO) Jaspal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Malkit Singh son of Shingara Singh a resident of Gaunsu Wal village,
IO said a case under sections 137-2(kidnapping),96(procuration of a child), and 61-2(criminal conspiracy) of the BNS was registered against the accused and others.
