The Lohian Khas police have arrested a Taran Tarn district resident on charges of extortion and criminal intimidation.

Love Preet Singh a resident of Yusaf Pur Dare Wal village had complained to the police that the accused made two WhatsApp calls from two numbers on his phone number and demanded Rs 50 Lakhs as ransom money and threatened him with dire consequences and fired at the main gate of his house.
IO said a case under sections 308(3) and 351(3) of the BNS (386 -IPC -extortion by threatening,506-IPC- criminal intimidation), and sections 25/27/54/59/of the Arms Act was registered
