JALANDHAR
Chairman District Planning Board, Amritpal Singh, has called on officials to expedite the construction of overbridges at Ram Nagar and Guru Nanak Pura Railway Crossings. During a review meeting on ongoing and upcoming development projects, the Chairman emphasized the need for timely completion of these projects to ensure the public benefits from the AAP Government’s initiatives.
Addressing representatives from various departments, including PWD, Panchayati Raj, Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and Bist Doab Division Jalandhar, Mr. Amritpal Singh stressed the importance of adhering to deadlines. He declared his intention to personally monitor the progress, emphasizing that any compromise on quality would be unacceptable. He also asked these departments to submit new proposals for upcoming projects.
He also directed officials from the Bist Doab Jalandhar Division to enhance the surroundings of the Bist Doab Canal. He proposed the development of parks, pavements, and seating areas alongside the canal to create a more inviting public space.
