The son-in-law of Sunner Kalan farmer Resham Singh conspired to fire his father-in-law on July 8 morning.

Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kulwinder Singh Virk told media that Gurwinder Singh alias Sunni son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Hambarran locality in Ludhiana told the police that he conspired with his cousin Sarabjit Singh a resident of Sarhali Kalan village in Taran Tarn who in collusion with his friends opened fire at Resham Singh with intention to kill him.

DSP said the other four accused were arrested after the interrogation of Sarabjit Singh and recovered from their possession one illegal pistol (32 bore),1 magazine,4 live cartridges, and a motorcycle.

 

The Nurmahal police had registered a case under sections 109 and 3(5) of the BNS (conspiring or organizing the commission of an organized crime). Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act against the accused.
