Agriculture department Faridkot has issued its schedule to meet the farmers at village level to solve their problems at the spot.
"It has come to the notice that farmers usually follow the advice of the representatives of the private chemical companies or the farmers. It mostly leads to the infestation of the insects and other diseases as each problem has one specific solution. But the drug manufacturing companies employ untrained boys to reach out to the farmers and thus misled them to sell them many unwanted products. So the department has decided to visit some common place for two hours in a village and inspect the fields and solve the problems related to it on the spot. Our experts would sit there for two hours and interact with the farmers," said Dr Amrik Singh,CAO Faridkot.
He said that experts would visit villages on each Tuesday and Thursday.
