Six arrested for firing at farmer in village

 

NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have arrested six miscreants on the charge of firing at a farmer in a village.

Investigating Officer (IO) Jagjit Singh said that the accused had been identified as Gurwinder Singh alias Sunni son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Hambarra under Lado Wal police station Ludhiana, Sarabjit Singh son of Mohinder Singh, and Resham Singh son of Shinder Singh  residents of Sarhali Kalan village in Taran Tarn, Gagandeep Singh son of Lakha Singh a resident of Sohawa village under Sarhali Kalan police station, Baldev Singh son of Gian Singh a resident of Thatha village under Sarhali Kalan police station and Baljit Singh son of Mangal Singh a resident of Nurdi village  in Taran Tarn

Resham Singh a resident of Sunner Kalan village had complained to the police that he was going to his fields on his tractor to bring paddy samplings on July 8 morning around 7 AM when the motorcycle-borne accused waylaid him and threatened and fired at him from a pistol to kill him and gunshot pierced his left thigh.

 

IO said a case under sections 109 and 3(5) of the BNS (conspiring or organizing the commission of an organized crime) and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against the unidentified accused and further investigations are on,
