The Mehat Pur police have busted a gang of thieves engaged in stealing farmers’ transformers and arrested its two members.
Investigating officer (IO) Davinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Davinder Singh son of Mangal Singh and Vishal Singh son of Ajit Singh residents of Dharam Kot in Moga
Gurdeep Singh a resident of Beetal Jhugian village complained to the police that the accused and their accomplice stole a transformer from his field on July 14.
IO said that a case under sections,303-2,317-2 of the BNS (379 -theft and 411-
dishonestly receiving stolen property of the IPC) has been registered against the accused.
