NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police have booked a man and his wife on a charge of assaulting a woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Harwinder Singh said that the accused had been identified as Mohinder Singh a resident of Awann Khalsa village and his wife Palo.
Gurmit Kaur a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked her with sharp-edged weapons on June 11.
IO said a case under sections 115-2,117-2 of the BNS (sections -324,325 voluntarily causing grievous hurt - of the IPC) has been registered.
