The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a thief for stealing cash and CCTV cameras from a religious place.
Investigating officer (IO)and Uggi police post in charge Balbir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Seepa son of Manjinder Singh a resident of Uggi village.
Harjinder Singh a resident of Rasul Pur village complained to the police that the accused barged into the religious place of Baba Masat Bapu Tare Shah ji on July 1 and stole Rs 1 Lakh cash and CCTV cameras from there.
IO said that a case under sections 331,305,317(2),3(5) of the BNS (454-house breaking to commit an offense punishable with imprisonment,380(theft in dwelling house, 411-dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
