The Mehat Pur police have booked five persons including a woman on the charges of kidnapping a minor and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating officer (IO) Jaspal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kuldeep Kaur a resident of Akku Wal village under Sidhama Bet police station in Ludhiana, Malkit Singh a resident of Gaunsu Wal village, and their three unidentified accomplices.
Kuldeep Kaur a resident of Gaunsu Wal village complained to the police that the accused conspired and kidnapped her minor daughter on the pretext of marriage.
IO said a case under sections 137-2,96 and 61-2 of the BNS (363-kidnapping,366-A- procuration of the minor girl -the 120-B-criminal conspiracy of the IPC.) has been registered against the accused.
