The Lohian Khas police have booked an unidentified man on the charges of extortion and criminal intimidation.
Love Preet Singh a resident of Yusaf Pur Dare Wal village complained to the police that an unidentified man made two WhatsApp calls from two numbers on his phone number and demanded Rs 50 Lakhs as ransom money and threatened him with dire consequences and fired at the main gate of his house.
Investigating officer Sukhdev Singh said a case under sections 308(3) and 351(3) of the BNS ( 386 -IPC -extortion by threatening,506-IPC- criminal intimidation ) has been registered against the unidentified accused, and sections 25/27/54/59/of the Arms Act have been added in the FIR,
