The Shahkot police have arrested an absconding drug peddler under the NDPS and Arms Acts.
Station House Officer (SHO) Aman Saini said that the accused has been identified as Baljinder Singh alias Jashan’s son of Ajaib Singh a resident of Talwandi Butian village adding that the police had received secret information that the accused had illegal firearms and was selling heroin.
SHO said that a case under sections 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act and section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused who is being produced in a court for police remand to recover drug and arms and his three accomplices are absconding.
