The Nurmahal police have arrested three members of a family on the charge of assaulting a woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Amarik Lal said that the accused have been identified as Pawan Kumar son of Lakhwinder a resident of Chuheki village, his wife Sarabjit Kaur, and son Sunil Kumar
Monika wife of Jatinderjit Kumar a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused barged into her house on May 11 assaulted her and threatened her with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt) 342(wrongful confinement) 452(house trespass after preparation for assault) 506(criminal intimidation), and 34(committing crime with common intention ) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
