JALANDHAR

Minister for Horticulture, Freedom Fighters, and Defence Services Welfare, Mohinder Bhagat, on Saturday, highlighted the significant reforms undertaken by the Punjab government in the education sector. Speaking at a mega Parent-Teacher Meeting at the School of Eminence, Maqsudan, he stated that under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, the state has improved the quality of education in government schools.

During the event, the Cabinet Minister inaugurated three newly built science labs and two classrooms constructed at a cost of Rs. 48 lakhs. Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasized that the Punjab government is committed to enhancing infrastructure in government schools while providing modern education aligned with contemporary needs. This, he noted, has led to an increase in student enrollments in government institutions.

He further stated that since the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, historic decisions have been made to offer world-class education, including sending teachers abroad for training, establishing Schools of Eminence, and upgrading facilities such as sports grounds, modern science labs, and other essential infrastructure.

Mr. Bhagat also stressed the importance of Parent-Teacher Meetings in fostering student development and improving government schools. He encouraged students to focus on their studies with dedication and hard work.
