Five migrants booked for duping Nakodar couple of Rs 36 Lakhs

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar city police have booked five migrants on the charge of duping a Nakodar couple of Rs 36 Lakhs.

The investigating officer (IO) Mandeep Singh said that the accused have been identified as Suraj Bhandari son of Moti Singh Bhandari a resident of Maharashtra state, Chirag Sham bharkar son of Dheeraj Sham Bhaskar  and Aditya Singh son of Amarjit Singh residents of Madhya Pradesh state, Phul Chand son of Lakhan Mahli a resident of Jharkhand state, Suman Agarwal son of Dipak Agarwal a resident of Bihar state and Udit Giri son of Umesh Giri a resident of Madhya Pradesh.

Kashmir Kaur wife of Avatar Singh a resident of Mohala Ravi Dass Pura Nakodar e complained to the Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police that the accused became friendly with them using fake phone calls and lured her into sending money in their accounts and this way and duped both of them of  Rs 36 Lakhs.

 

IO aid a case under section 403(dishonestly misappropriating any movable property.) 419(cheating by personation),420(cheating), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code have been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
