The Nakodar city police have booked a couple on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Paramjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Hardev Singh son of Bachan singh a resident of Mohalla Gahrriyan, Nakodar.
Jaswindar Kaur a resident of the same locality complained to the Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police that they barged into her house assaulted and used filthy language against her and threatened her.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),323(voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrested have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
