District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today led a flag march of Armed Forces in Jalandhar West Assembly Constituency in preparation for the upcoming by-elections on July 10, 2024. The march aimed to bolster voter confidence and ensure a secure election environment.
Starting from the Model House area, Dr. Aggarwal, accompanied by Armed Forces personnel, traversed several parts of the constituency, including the interiors of the Jalandhar West assembly segment.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Aggarwal highlighted that the flag march was a strategic measure to reassure voters of the District Administration's commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. He affirmed that law and order would be strictly maintained, with severe consequences for anyone attempting to disrupt the electoral process.
"The administration has ensured the sufficient deployment of forces," Dr. Aggarwal stated, emphasizing that no one would be permitted to undermine the peace and order during the election period. The flag march reflects the administration's proactive stance in creating a safe voting environment and maintaining public confidence in the electoral process.
