The Nurmahal police have arrested a youth on the charge of sodomizing a nine-year-old child.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused has been identified as Rasheed son of Galib Deen a resident of Patti Surtiyan Bundala village.
The mother of the victim complained to the police that the accused sodomized her 9-year-old son and brutally injured him.
SHO said that a case under section 377(unnatural offenses) of the Indian Penal Code and section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 has been registered against the accused.
