The Nurmahal police have booked two unidentified snatchers on the charge of an attempt to loot an old man.
Prem Kumar a resident of Udhowal village under Mehat Pur police station complained to the police that he is a dealer of kerosene oil and was going to Sanghe Jagir village from Littran village on June 12 morning when two unidentified motorcycle-borne accused waylaid him near a store and asked him at a point of sharp-edged weapon hand over all he had with him to them.
The complainant said when he told them he has nothing the accused attacked and seriously injured him adding that he can recognize the accused if produced before him and action should be taken against them for an attempt to snatch money and a mobile phone from him.
The Investigating Officer Jugraj Singh said a case under sections 379-B(II)(snatching),511(r attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or another imprisonment · ) 341(wrong full restraint), and 34(committing the crime with common intention ) of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified accused and further investigations are on
