Modi to attend Haryana’s Golden Jubilee Celebration :Chief Secretary

GURGAON: The preparations for celebrating Haryana Golden Jubilee on Haryana Day are in full swing in Gurgaon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest of the function. Haryana Chief Secretary  D.S Dhesi today reviewed the preparations going on at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Gurgaon and took a meeting of District officials.
              Chief Secretary said that on the coming November 1, Haryana would complete its 50 years of foundation and the state government has decided to celebrate its Golden Jubilee festival from this day till October 31, 2017. Mr Narendra Modi would inaugurate this festival in Gurgaon on Haryana Day which falls on November 1.  He said that apart from Parliamentarians, Ministers and MLA s of Haryana, various Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of other states have been invited.
    He said that on this occasion, the glorious story of Haryana right from its historical background to last 50 years would be presented before people including the contribution of people of Haryana in first war of independence held in 1857, battles of Panipat, achievements of Haryana in the field of sports, bravery exhibited by the soldiers of Haryana, and achievements like Beti Bachao Bet Padhao through light and sound and water laser show. He said that the historians are being contacted to gather more information about the history of the state so that it could be presented during the festival. Also, a short film based on the Digital Haryana and achievements of the state would also be presented. During the program, Prime Minister  Narendra Modi would launch 50 new schemes, he added.
             During the meeting with the officials, Dhesi directed the concerned officials to complete the preparations of the festival in a time bound manner. Those present in the meeting include Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister  Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home)  Ram Niwas, Additional Chief Secretary (Public Works Department)  Hardeep Kumar, Director General Police, K.P Singh, Principal Resident Commissioner, Anand Mohan Sharan, Director, Information, Public Relations and languages Department Mr Sameer Pla Srow and various other dignitaries.
