DEO and SSP visits vulnerable booths in Adampur and Kartarpur ACs

Jalandhar : District Election Officer-Cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kamal Kishor Yadav and Senior Superintendent of Police Jalandhar (Rural) Mr. S.S.Mann today visited the vulnerable booths and pockets in the Adampur and Kartarpur Assembly Constituencies to inculcate a sense of security among the voters and to motivate them for casting their votes without any fear, greed and influence.

While interacting with the voters Mr. Yadav said that people can contact directly the District Election Authorities and Police Officers to lodge complaint if anybody tries to influence the voter with cash or by creating fear among the voters. He assured that the action would be taken immediately in such cases. He also informed that people that to inculcate the sense of security such polling booths would be covered with CCTVs, Web casting and Para military forces. DEO also motivate the voters for their maximum participation during the ensuing State Assembly Elections to strengthen this democratic process.

DEO and SSP also said that the People can contact on Police Control Room Telephone No. 100 and Toll free No.1800-180-1612 of District Election Complaint Cell to register their election related complaints.  Mr. Mann also directed the police officials of the concerned Police Stations to visit regularly to such areas to build a strong rapport with the people to motivate them to cast their votes fearlessly. DEO and SSP along with other officials visited Vulnerable booths and pockets at Adampur, Alawalpur, Kartarpur, Fazalpur and other areas.
