Gurugram:To promote cashless transactions, the Haryana government has launched a website in which those uploading details of their digital transactions will be rewarded through a lucky draw, an official said on Monday.

The lucky draw will be held on December 24 at Chandigarh.

The Gurugram district administration has appealed to the residents of the district to adopt digital transaction, upload the Transaction ID and other details on the website -- cashlessharyana.nic.in -- and win prizes at the lucky draw.

The person uploading the details of his cashless transactions will also get an appreciation amount of Rs 5 from the state government.

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner T.L. Satyaprakash said this step has been taken by the state government to motivate the people to go for digital transactions instead of cash payments.

The scheme was announced by state Chief Secretary D.S. Dhesi in a video conference on Monday.

Till now, about 4,641 persons from across the state have registered themselves on 'cashlessharyana.nic.in' to get connected with the cashless transaction campaign of the state government.

Satyaprakash said that through this website, the people have been asked to make maximum use of their mobile phones for making payments with the catchy slogan written in Hindi on the top -- "Mera Mobile Mera Batua, Desh Mein Desh Haryana, Ib Isko Cashless Banana", meaning, "My mobile is my wallet. Haryana is one of the best states, now let's make it cashless".

A short Youtube clipping is also there on the website showing how one can do Aadhaar-based cashless transactions.

A demonstration of how the citizens can upload their details on the website to be considered for the lucky draw is also given.
