Amritsar: "Badals and Captain Amarinder Singh share a secret alliance and both the partiers are contesting 2017 elections in Punjab jointly" National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while addressing an impressive gathering at “Punjab Inquilab" rally in Amritsar said this.
Kejriwal said that Badals and Amrinder have looted Punjab during last 15 years and promoted their family businesses by ignoring the interests of the Punjabis and putting Punjab in deep financial crisis"
While accusing Badal Government of patronizing drug mafia and criminals in Punjab, he assured to build a fearless and prosperous Punjab after formation of AAP government in 2017. He said that each and every Punjabi knows that Majithia is the kingpin of druglords still no action has been taken against him.
Attacking Captain Amarinder Singh he said that the congress chief has amassed huge wealth during Congress government in state but when Badals came in power they took no action against him. This is because of the clandestine agreement by the Badals and Capt. Amarinder Singh to protect each other's misdoings.
Kejriwal said that Captain’s sentiments for Sikh community can been gauged from the fact that he gave clean chit to Sajjan Kumar and Tytler who are the main accused of 1984 riots.
Kejriwal promised to put kingpin of drugs in Punjab Bikram Majithia behind the bar for ruining lives of lakhs of Punjabi youth by unleashing narco-terrorism in State. He said that political will is necessary to curb the drug menace in state.
Citing an example of Delhi, he said that despite numerous obstacles by the Modi Government, Delhi government has provided state of the art health facilities where people are getting free medicines and the tests are done without any charges. Huge changes have been made in the education sector where the infrastructure of government schools has made at par with reputed private school. While highlighting the loot of private schools in Punjab, Kejriwal said that his government in Delhi has acted against all such schools and the same will be done in Punjab after formation of the government.
Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Affairs co-Incharge Jarnail Singh said that the liquor shops and drug trade has increased manifold during the Badal regime while the schools have been shut down. People are facing a lot of inconvenience and harassment in hospitals as the govnerment hospitals are devoid of proper infrastructure. He assured to reduce VAT and electricity bills after forming government in 2017.
Senior leader H.S. Phoolka, while expressing his views, said that it is matter of shame that a colony in holy city Amritsar is infamous for drugs. He said that AAP has zero tolerance for drugs.
