JALANDHAR: “I completely trash and debunk reports emerging in a section of media of speculating my rejoining the Congress”, stated Khaira in a press release here today.
“I am saddened to see reports emerging in a section of media, claiming that I am considering to rejoin the Congress party”, Khaira added.
“I wish to place on record that all such reports are completely frivolous, baseless and aimed to malign my political image, AAP Spokesman vowed.
I had quit the Congress party in December last year, after due diligence and deep introspection having served it for 19 years with sincerest dedication and zeal. I have joined Aam Aadmi Party due to its principles of ending corruption, injustice, nepotism and politics of money and muscle power”, he added.
“I am of the firm opinion that, AAP is the only platform emerging in India, which can cleanse the thoroughly polluted political culture prevailing currently”, he said.
“I am surprised to read the reports, that I am being sidelined by AAP or not being given due importance or responsibility. This is also untrue and false because I have been appointed the Spokesperson of AAP, besides heading the RTI Wing of the party and now I am official candidate from 26-Bholath Vidhan Sabha. I also state that I do not indulge in petty politics to seek importance or offices, instead I am a votary of issue based politics”, Khaira stated.
“All such speculative reports would also be dashed to ground tomorrow as I am proceeding to participate in AAP ‘Dalit’ manifesto rally being held at Goraya.
Therefore, once again I reiterate my complete commitment, dedication and steadfastness to principles and ideals of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party”, he said.
I trash, debunk and outrightly reject all such reports that have emerged in the media speculating my rejoining the Congress. Last but not the least, I request the media not to publish any such politically motivated speculative stories about me , in case any newspaper or electronic channel does so, I would left with no option but to file defamation suit against them, Khaira said.
