Washington, May 26 (IANS) A man armed with four guns and several knives was arrested at the Phoenix Comicon, prompting officials to increase security screening and outlaw prop weapons for the duration of the event in the US city, the media reported.

Three drug peddlers arrested with habit forming tablets

Nakodar: The Nakodar sadar police have arrested three drug peddlers for selling habit forming drugs. Investigating Officer Paramjit Singh said that 1000 habit forming tablets were recovered from the accused identified as Rajindar Kumar a resident of Bhagat Singh nagar Nakodar,Manidar Singh a resident of Sanganna village in Amritsar and Jagjit Singh a resident of Sandhu Chatha village in Kapurthala.  A case under section 22 /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.

15 patients die, Bihar doctors end two-day strike

Patna,  Junior doctors of the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Thursday evening ended their two-day strike following government assurance, burt during the strike eight more patients died since Wednesday night, taking the toll to 15, officials said.
