The Shahkot police have arrested a youth on the charge of helping in kidnapping a minor.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said the accused had been identified as Parmindar Singh son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Bau Pur village.
IO said that a case under sections 137(2) 363 (kidnapping),96(procuration of child), and 3(5) (committing a crime with the common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
